As a licensed mental health counselor, I am a Black woman dedicated to providing compassionate support to women facing various challenges. I specialize in working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, life transitions, low self-esteem, and lack of confidence. Particularly, I excel in helping women navigate the complexities of relationships, offering guidance and solace during difficult breakups and the ambiguous grief that often accompanies them. My approach is rooted in providing practical solutions that offer relief while delving into the underlying issues through counseling. I strive to create a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their emotions, discover their strengths, and ultimately embark on a journey toward healing and empowerment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, clients will complete a comprehensive intake assessment. This assessment allows me to gain a deep understanding of their personal history and current circumstances, enabling me to formulate a diagnosis if necessary and develop a tailored treatment plan that aligns with their treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a psychotherapist lie in my insight, warmth, and flexibility. I approach therapy with an eclectic mindset, drawing from various therapeutic techniques to meet each client's unique needs. By meeting clients where they are, I create a safe and supportive environment for them to explore their challenges and aspirations. Additionally, my ability to adapt to different situations and clients' individual personalities allows me to build strong therapeutic relationships and foster meaningful progress towards healing and personal growth.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a targeted approach aimed at identifying and transforming negative thought patterns and behaviors to foster improved cognitive and emotional well-being.
