My approach to therapy is guided by the belief that we all innately know what we need for ourselves and those answers are within our hearts and spirit. With that, I approach therapy from a person-centered and non-directive lens. Our work together will focus on motivating your self-expression, uncovering your strengths, and identifying humanizing experiences to uncover and identify patterns of dysfunction that may no longer be serving you. I strongly use motivational interviewing, solution-focused approaches, EMDR, spirituality, and a psychodynamic lens in her practice to process trauma, uncover deep emotions, and work through day-to-day routines and interactions to make room for healing and understanding.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will complete the required intake paperwork and then spend some time exploring the presenting problem or reason you have decided to begin the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My ability to connect and provide unconditional positive regard to those I serve is part of my spirit as a person that I can always depend on. I love what I do because the spirit of human connection keeps me excited and interested to continue growing personally and professionally.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is the main modality I have used since beginning as a social worker and therapist. MI is based around the clients internal wants and desires. Open questions, open ended questions, and cultivating change talk are key components.

Integrative

Integrating our experiences and fully understanding how they shape our lives is a key component of therapeutic work.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes working together to have options and being able to process different scenarios allows for action based interventions in a short amount of time working together.

Strength-Based

Focusing on your strengths and leaning into what we already know how to do or complete allow for confidence and healing.
