Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in the Bay Area and serving children and adults throughout California via telehealth. I have 10 years experience working with youth in the education setting and 4 years professional experience as a therapist. I’m excited to work with young women of color and non-binary people of color who are navigating adulthood and working on defining themselves. Maybe you are navigating stressors related to your love life, career, balancing personal and family responsibilities, and feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed. Together we may uncover underlying trauma or self-limiting beliefs, work on boundaries, explore and better understand your needs. Perhaps this is the first time that you are able to prioritize your mental health, which is a first step in investing and valuing YOU. Let’s go on this journey with the self-compassion and softness you deserve.
In our first session, we will review your intake form and what brings you to therapy. I know it is not easy to share difficult experiences and building trust is an extremely part of the process. I don't expect to learn everything about you. The first session will give each of us an idea of what it is like to work together and what you would like to work on.
As a therapist I make authentic connections with clients through my compassion and ability to hold space without judgment. I deeply care about the wellbeing of my clients and work hard to be the best therapist I can be. This includes making sure my own “stuff” doesn’t impact treatment, and ensuring that I’m always improving in the therapeutic tools and expanding my trauma-informed, culturally-informed, and systems-informed practice.
First and foremost, I utilize a relational approach in treatment. I believe building trust in the therapeutic relationship is the priority and foundation to our work together.
