Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Texas with 5 years of experience. I help individuals, couples, and families learn to love and relate to one another in a more healthy and secure way based on a deeper understanding of each other’s experience and application of new skills. My clients seek me out when they've been experiencing relational distress and are unable to improve it on their own. You might consider me if you've tolerated your situation for years and the thought of continuing is so painful that you're on the brink of ending or cutting off the relationship unless things change. Prior to private practice, I provided trauma-informed care at nonprofit organizations helping unhoused persons recover from substance abuse and learn life transformation skills; and supervising court ordered visitation between children and their non-custodial parents. I hold an MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I'll want to learn more about your current situation and relevant history. Then we'll talk about your goals and expectations for therapy. This will help me share an initial impression of how I might help you and prepare a treatment plan to review at our next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

When it comes to relationships, I don't take sides or judge. Instead, I try to make sense of it and validate each person's experience without invalidating the other. With more understanding and acceptance, you're in a much better position to adapt and create the future you desire.

My treatment methods

Integrative

An Integrative approach helps clients explore and adapt thoughts, feelings, and actions to their specific biological, interpersonal, social, and cultural environments by combining assumptions and techniques from two or more treatment methods.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT helps clients discover how reactive thoughts and feelings create and perpetuate emotional distance in relationships and what to do instead to create connection and closeness based on attachment theory and science.

Gottman method

Gottman Method for Couples helps couples manage conflict, enhance friendship and intimacy, and build a life together that's mutually satisfying.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT helps clients facilitate desired change by focusing on the positive, the solutions, and the future through a collaborative dialogue.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT helps clients learn and apply skills in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance to reduce the impact of their experience with problems, misery, and distress.
