Hi everyone! Are you a soon-to-be mother or father? Or perhaps you have not been feeling like yourself since your child's birth. If so, I would love to support you in managing everything birth-related, which could include fertility challenges, navigating postpartum, miscarriage, birth trauma, and more. I have specialized training in maternal and paternal mental health. I am passionate about working with birthing individuals and their partners before, during, and after birth. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work alongside couples who need support navigating conflict management, sex and intimacy challenges, feeling lonely and disconnected, distributing parenting tasks, and infidelity. I help my clients regain agency over their lives and experience joy again. Let's work together as you navigate life's ups and downs because you deserve to receive the support you need.
We will get to know one another during our initial session to build a strong therapeutic relationship. The time we spend in session is yours, as you identify your challenges and goals for therapy. I will tailor an individualized plan that we'll work towards together throughout our sessions. If you have any questions or concerns, I am happy to answer them as I believe transparency is a key component to effective treatment.
I understand that every person is different, which allows me to be open and non-judgmental as I learn about your world. With a client-centered perspective, I honor that the client is the expert on themselves. I pride myself in being authentic, which provides the space for my clients to show up as themselves openly and honestly without fear or criticism. Life is tough enough, I bring an easy-going nature into sessions to ease the tension when navigating difficult concerns.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on exploring how your past experiences, specifically from childhood, impacts your present thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I use this treatment method to uncover your unconscious patterns and conflicts which will lead to a deeper self-understanding.
Interpersonal therapy focuses on improving an individual’s interpersonal relationships and communication skills. Specifically during the transition to parenthood, I use interpersonal therapy for birthing individuals and their partners to identify and address role transitions, handle grief and loss, enhance communication skills, and build and strengthen their supportive network.
