Meet Tamera Your Partner in Healing and Growth As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of Thrive Collective Services, I bring compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session. I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, and families who are navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practices: including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychoeducation, I provide a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection, understanding, and practical tools. Whether you're a parent seeking support for your child, a teen learning to manage emotions, or an adult working through generational trauma, I tailor treatment to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting change one step at a time.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we’ll begin building trust and understanding. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss any challenges you’re currently facing. I’ll ask questions to get to know you better to include: your background, strengths, and support systems, so we can create a plan that feels right for you. This is also a time for you to ask questions and share anything you feel comfortable with. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out just come as you are. This is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that honors your comfort and needs.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with clients from all walks of life. I bring empathy, cultural awareness, and a calming presence into the therapy space, which helps clients feel safe, understood, and supported. I have a gift for meeting people where they are emotionally and mentally; while gently challenging them to grow. My creativity allows me to tailor sessions with engaging tools, activities, and therapeutic approaches that meet each client’s unique needs. I’m also deeply committed to walking alongside my clients with consistency and care, especially during their most vulnerable moments. My goal is always to help you feel seen, empowered, and capable of lasting change.
You’re doing the best you can, carrying so much while trying to hold it all together and I want you to know, you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re a parent worried about your child, a teen feeling overwhelmed, or an adult trying to heal from your past while navigating today’s pressures, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your story, build emotional tools, and uncover your strengths. Healing is possible, and so is hope and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you begin that journey.
Creating a safe space for both the child and caregiver to share their narratives. Often time using play-based techniques and storytelling to help children express emotions and promote healing. Also coaching caregivers on emotional attunement, regulation, and positive engagement, which enhances the attachment and supports long-term resilience.
Guiding clients in identifying the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. For example, helping a teen challenge distorted thinking related to academic failure or self-worth, or supporting an adult in breaking the cycle of anxious rumination. I often incorporate worksheets, journaling, and role-play exercises to reinforce skills.
By creating a collaborative environment where families identify patterns, roles, and triggers. Often times using structured activities, and conflict resolution tools to help families improve communication, set boundaries, and rebuild trust. I also tailor each session based on developmental needs and family structure.
By incorporating breathing exercises, guided meditations, grounding techniques, and body awareness activities. Often teaching clients how to pause and observe thoughts and emotions without judgment. In schools or community groups, I have lead short mindfulness breaks or use visual tools to build emotional vocabulary and present-moment focus.
Using psychoeducation to normalize experiences, increase client insight, and empower informed decision-making. Whether it's explaining trauma responses, teaching coping strategies, or helping parents understand their child’s diagnosis, you break down complex concepts into digestible, relatable pieces. I often use visuals, handouts, and discussion prompts.
