Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia with 19 years of experience. I earned my Master’s degree from Argosy University and enjoy working with individuals of all ages, from children to adults. I specialize in helping people cope with various types of anxiety, including social and generalized anxiety, as well as supporting those dealing with depression. My goal is to empower my clients to become the best versions of themselves and lead more fulfilling lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with young professionals for the past 13 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with my clients to help them understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify negative or unhelpful thought patterns that might be contributing to their struggles. I guide them in challenging these thoughts and developing healthier, more constructive ways of thinking. It’s rewarding to see them gain practical tools they can use in their daily lives to feel more empowered and in control.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In Mindfulness-Based Therapy, I help my clients learn how to focus on the present moment without judgment. Together, we practice techniques like mindful breathing and body scans, which can help them become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them. It’s about creating space between themselves and their reactions, so they can respond to challenges with greater clarity and calmness. Watching clients develop this sense of inner peace and self-compassion is truly rewarding.

Motivational Interviewing

In Motivational Interviewing, I work with my clients to explore their own reasons for change, without pressure or judgment. My role is to listen, ask open-ended questions, and help them tap into their inner motivation. It’s a collaborative process, where I support them in resolving ambivalence and building confidence in their ability to make positive changes. Seeing clients discover their own drive and take steps toward their goals is incredibly fulfilling.

Play Therapy

In Teleplay Therapy, I connect with my young clients through virtual sessions, using online games, interactive tools, and creative activities to engage them. Even though we’re not in the same physical space, the power of play remains a key part of the process. I create a safe, supportive environment where they can express their thoughts and feelings freely. It’s rewarding to see them open up and make progress, showing that meaningful connection and healing can happen, even from a distance.

Strength-Based

Together, we explore what’s already working in their lives and build on those positive qualities. My role is to support them in recognizing their resilience, skills, and achievements, even when they may feel stuck or overwhelmed. It’s empowering to see clients shift their perspective and realize they have the tools within themselves to create meaningful change.
