Welcome! I'm Rachel. I want to first acknowledge that you've taken a courageous step in seeking therapy, and I’m so glad you're here. Starting this process can feel empowering, confusing, or even a little scary, and that’s completely okay. Together, we’ll dive into what’s challenging you right now—whether it’s anxiety, depression, postpartum concerns, grief, self-confidence struggles, or parenting hurdles. We’ll also explore where you want to be in the next month, six months, or year. In our sessions, we’ll break down your concerns and create strategies that work for you, focusing on practical actions you can take right away. I strive to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can feel heard and supported. My approach emphasizes developing assertive communication and boundaries, helping you build the life you truly deserve. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and there’s always space for suggestions and accountability as we work together. When you’re ready, I’m here to help you move forward.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first therapy session with me, we’ll start by getting to know each other and discussing your understanding of therapy to make sure we’re on the same page. I’ll ask a lot of questions to gain insight into the key areas of your life, so I can better understand your unique experiences and challenges. Together, we’ll clarify what you hope to achieve in therapy and begin outlining a plan that aligns with your goals. The session will be collaborative, giving us a chance to explore any gaps in understanding and set a foundation for meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strength is my deep appreciation for authenticity. I love when people show up as their true selves, without apology, and I find real joy in learning about my clients. I focus on strength-based communication, helping you uncover small victories even in the midst of anxiety or depression. I strive to instill hope while also gently challenging you to grow in ways that are meaningful and sustainable.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

In my approach, I encourage clients to treat themselves with kindness and compassion, which helps to counter feelings of guilt, inadequacy, or the pressure to be “perfect.” Together, we work on integrating mindfulness and self-acceptance techniques that foster a sense of emotional balance. This process is highly effective in reducing self-criticism and building emotional resilience—both of which are crucial for navigating the emotional demands of caregiving and daily life.

Attachment-based

In my therapy sessions, I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how their early relationships influence their current emotions and relationships. We explore past experiences to address any attachment issues and work on developing healthier, more secure connections. By focusing on our therapeutic relationship, I aim to support clients in healing from past wounds and building stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
