Hello there! Do you ever feel as though your life is a million-piece puzzle? Or feel as though your family or partner does not understand you. Life can be complicated; however, your mind does not constantly have to be. My diverse experience has allowed me to gain expertise in helping individuals (18 years+) in various settings, navigate through relational struggles, traumas, betrayals, anxieties, miscommunications, setbacks, self-discoveries, transitions, or misunderstandings. Together, we can identify what is not working and learn ways to communicate it in order to create change. I learned the importance of culture competency through my academic training at Adler University. It is important to understand how the dimensions of culture, race, gender, ethnicity, age, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, and language may affect the function of your relational systems. I come to you, gently, soft & warm. I have a strong sense of being mindful and allowing you to be in the moment. I can gently challenge you when need be or pep you up. Ultimately, I will meet you raw and unfiltered and embrace all parts of it. You deserve a safe space to explore all parts of the self. Let’s connect and start piecing together the puzzle. **With every darkness, there is a light** Background: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 12 years of experience in the mental health field; 10 years as a therapist. The first session is about creating connection and identifying compatibility. At the beginning, I will go over my practice policies and procedures, then leave the floor open for any questions clients may have of me. Then I will collect facts about clients (who you are in day-to-day life). Lastly, I will collect client's current concerns with his/her/their function (symptoms).
Virtually, I work with 18+ individuals. In-person, I meet with Individuals 18+, couples, or families. My work through a systemic lens allows me to see symptoms not existing on its' own. It is of a greater whole. Everything around you, past/present, has influenced you to believe, feel, and think the way you do. As a provider, I compassionately help you navigate through all those elements.
I meet clients where they are with no judgement/criticism. Compassion focused is helping clients navigate their thoughts about themselves and the world around them through a kinder lens.
I believe culture is an imperative piece in understanding how a person functions and perceive the world around them. It influences how a client lives their lives.
Narrative is a form of helping clients shift their views of themselves as separate from their problems/symptoms.
