Hi, I'm Celeste! I am passionate about helping people live a happier life- whether that means learning how to better manage anxiety, working through traumas, or developing a kinder inner monologue. I believe in order to make any changes, we must first understand how we got here. That is why I place a big emphasis on insight and help you understand how you got where you are, why it makes sense, and how we can change it.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together is me getting to know what brings you to therapy but it’s also you getting to know my therapeutic style to see if we are a good fit. I will ask questions but you set the pace- you are completely in charge of how much you share. It’s most important to me that you feel comfortable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a warm, kind environment that allows clients to learn about themselves and create the change they seek. I believe the most important thing in our time together is that you feel heard, seen, and supported- my job is to offer a supportive environment, in which you feel safe to explore who you are. My goal for you is to build a bigger, happier life filled with self-awareness. I know that journey can be difficult and so I am here to walk with you and support you through it.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who are curious about themselves and who are feeling called to make a change. Even when it’s difficult to see the path forward, I can assist in understanding our current functioning and what we need to do in order to start making change. I also love to assist clients in exploring more holistic modalities, such as spirituality, chakra systems and integrating sacred plant medicines, to aid in their healing process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the interaction between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We all have automatic and unconscious thoughts, which sometimes skew negative. This then deeply impacts how we feel and how we behave. Once we become aware of this, we become more in control of our thoughts, mood, and actions.

Psychodynamic

I use Psychodynamic Theory to explore how our childhood impacts who we are today, how we experience the world, and how we show up in our relationships. As children, we develop unconscious beliefs about ourselves that then color our lives. We also unconsciously develop coping strategies to survive our childhood environment, that we then unconsciously continue to use in adulthood, oftentimes creating problems.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based approaches to teach clients how to reconnect with their bodies and use their body to physically regulate. Through awareness and breathing techniques, we can cue safety to our body and calm our nervous system.
