I possess five years experience supporting individuals overcome presenting concerns such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorder(s) and bereavement. In received my Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA. I have spent the past five years committed to the psychotherapeutic treatment of adults living in the New York City area.
In our first session we will start off by exploring your relevant life history that has contributed to your presenting concerns for treatment. I will utilize this information to assess your specific needs for treatment. Following our initial assessment session(s), we will partner together to develop a treatment plan and interventions to address your specific needs throughout the course of your therapeutic process.
All of our unique life experiences shape us to be the person we are today. Mental health treatment should never be a one size, style or intervention fits all approach. This is why I utilize a person-centered approach for treatment - there is only one you.
I use Cognitive behavioral therapy to re-work patterns of thinking that are contributing to depressive, anxious or addictive states. Breaking these patterns of thought is essential to mood improvement and reducing behaviors that reinforcing patterns of thinking.
