Peter Francisco has been quoted with saying, "If you always do what you’ve always done, you always get what you’ve always gotten". You are making a vital step in success, and for that I commend you. With 20+ years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Employee Assistance Professional, recognizing the balance between our thoughts and behaviors can be a bridge for a better outcome. Circumstances can be tough. Recognizing our own strengths can help position us to overcome those tough moments.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is commonly used to support a variety of struggles when our thought patterns and behaviors become stumbling blocks. Common challenges addressed are depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders, emotional trauma, grief, managing physical symptoms of a chronic illness, or coping with the stressful circumstances of daily life. Identifying Unhelpful Thinking: Sometimes our thoughts are limiting our success. Recognizing the pattern of unhelpful thinking creates a shift to think differently. Behavioral Changes: Together we will consider strategies such as role-playing and assigning homework to help you make positive changes in your behavior. Quick and Structured: CBT is designed to be solution-focused in fewer sessions.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling extend beyond understanding communication tips. Understanding the areas of trust, vulnerability and emotional connection are vital for a healthy relationship.

Family Therapy

The family structure has adjusted over time; therefore, recognizing healthy family dynamics is important for longer term success. As the family changes, we are able to understand what works best for the family, and what is needed for change.
