My name is Nick Davis I'm a 32-year-old, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), based in San Diego, California working with clients throughout California via telehealth. I work with both adolescents and adults and specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, impulsivity, relationship concerns, and suicidal ideation. My approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning it is based on the needs of the client. I believe in a collaborative approach to help the client identify their primary needs and tailor therapeutic interventions to meet those needs. I specialize in several modalities however I most commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
In our first session we will discuss your mental health concerns and any information you feel like is relevant in helping me understand your emotional process. We will also discuss your goals for treatment, and discuss a collaborative treatment plan that is created with your specific needs in mind.
I pride myself on making the therapeutic environment as safe as and productive possible. As a result of my past experiences both personally and professionally, I believe creating a safe space emotionally, and adapting my therapeutic approach to meet the needs of the client are two of my biggest strengths.
