Hi there, I’m Chelsea. I work to create a trusting, safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere where you are able to share your burdens and pain that you carry. I believe the relationship between you and I is essential to the healing process. My ultimate goal is to lead you to healing the broken areas of your life (current and past wounds) to find wholeness.
In our first session together we will gather background information, and identify and collaborate counseling goals to obtain.
I am able to provide a safe place, where you feel that you can open up to me about deep emotional pain. I am compassionate, kind, empathetic and gentle.
EMDR Certified. I implement EMDR with client's who have a lot of trauma to work through. EMDR is quick, an effective tool to utilize when working through pain, and negative beliefs.
I use CBT to help individuals correct or reframe their thinking patterns. The model teaches that whatever we think about, that determines how we feel, then how we act. We are able to identify their negative thinking patterns using a "thought audit" and then they learn to replace their thinking with positive or rational thoughts.
I enjoy integrating Christian based techniques within the counseling sessions if individuals desire it. We can incorporate prayer, scriptural meditation, as well as accountability when replacing lies with Truth.
