Thank you for visiting my page. Deciding to embark on the path of healing can be challenging, and I applaud you for taking the first step. I work with adults seeking to address concerns regarding relationships, self-worth, and fear of commitment. I offer a safe and supportive space for exploring these complex issues. My goal is to help folks develop the skills they need to navigate life's challenges with confidence. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, traumatic experiences, depression, or relationship issues, I am here to help you create a more fulfilling life. I invite you to reach out.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will give us an opportunity to get to know each other better, for me to better understand what has brought you to therapy, to hear what your challenges are, and to get a sense of what you'd like to work on. Furthermore, during this initial session, this a great time (but doesn't have to be) to explore family history, relationship problems, and explore traumatic events in your development and life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What I believe that I can provide for a client is patience, compassion, and understanding. With me, there will be no need to rush to the right answer or feel pressured to arrive at a destination before you are ready. My aim is to get to the root of what causes you pain or distress, not to simply focus on your symptoms.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Young and middle-aged Adults, professionals, Medical providers, and other Therapists.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

If we are to look at your circumstances from an Attachment Theory perspective, together we may consider what your attachment style is (e.g., avoidant, ambivalent, preoccupied, etc.) and then from there further explore how this impacts your daily life and/or relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

While approaching our work together, I may from time-to-time support you with guided discovery, assist you in exploring cognitive distortions (e.g., black-and-white thinking), and explore interventions such as gradual exposure.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach is person-centered, where you lead the discussion as I provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to express your thoughts and feelings on topics that matter to you.

Motivational Interviewing

My graduate program strongly emphasized the Motivational Interviewing (MI) approach. It is engrained in me. Considering MI, we can explore stages of change, what gets in the way change and motivation, and how to navigate resistance.

Psychodynamic

I am intimately acquainted with many Psychodynamic theories (e.g., Object Relations, Self-Psychology, Jungian, Mentalization Based Therapy, etc.). Due to the sheer vastness of theorists and various literature, it is difficult to summarize what this will look like exactly. Though, a Dynamic therapist will be interested your lived experience, developmental years, and early relationships. Other concepts to be explored can be the unconscious, repetition compulsion, and reaction formation to name a few.
