I am a psychotherapist who has been in the field for over 20 years. I thrive on helping my clients reduce their anxiety and increase their sense of worth. I love working with clients who are ready to commit to the healing journey. Therapy is a partnership and it is most affective when clients are open to putting in the work.
My motto has always been that therapy is like wearing a comfortable pair of shoes. The therapeutic journey can be long process and it is important that the client is comfortable with his/her provider. The first session will be an introduction and a glimpse as to what brings you to therapy. My goal is to provide a safe space where you will feel comfortable being vulnerable. I encourage dialogue and questions. After the first session you will know whether I am a good for you. If I am, we will schedule our next session where it would ideally be at the time/day each week until we agree otherwise.
I believe that one of my strengths as a provider is meeting my clients where they are at. I do not rush, I am patient and of course I am an amazing listener. I also must say that I am direct and believe in challenging your thought process. Keep in mind that we grow when we are uncomfortable and can stay stagnant in comfort.
I have been in psychotherapeutic field for over 20 years. I primarily use CBT to help my clients identify thoughts and feeling that are interfering with their healing and growth process. The identification process can come from the various techniques used such as Ie: cognitive reframing, journaling and stress reduction (among others).
