My name is Tamisha Rogers and I am a License Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, Certified Clinical Supervisor for Addiction, and Certified Anger Management Facilitator. I have over 20 years of professional experience working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents, and children in inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to, I have gained experience in dual disorders, from multiple evidence-based trainings, trauma focused therapies, and certifications in the mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice system. My passion has always been to help individuals become the best version of themselves regardless of where they have been or their experiences. I treat from the whole health perspective and provide a safe environment for individuals to show up how they need to no matter what it looks like.
In our first session together, I will provide you of a brief synopsis of my education, background experiences, theoretical orientation, expectation of services, review the paperwork you completed, and complete a brief behavioral health assessment to get an initial idea of where you been, where you are, and where you are going. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
Treatment methods will be used to fit where clients are at the moment: person centered, trauma focused, solution focused, brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, accept and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, reality therapy, self-talk, and process.
I believe my biggest strength is accepting clients for where they are and providing a nonjudgmental environment for them to show up. My niche is working with Individuals and Couples to become the best version of themselves to create an environment where "I am okay, You okay, and We are all okay" and not living in a space where everyone is okay, except the client(s). I would like to help individuals on their journey to become the best "YOU" they can want to become. "I am that therapist that you can be real with, open with, laugh with, honest with, cry with, raw with, & recover with." I am that Therapist.
