Are you finding your anxiety or anger more difficult to manage? Is life becoming increasingly overwhelming? Knowing where to begin can feel like a challenge—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to help. I’m a seasoned therapist with extensive experience supporting adults through anxiety, anger, trauma, and substance use challenges. My background includes working across a variety of settings, including higher levels of care, private practice, schools, and court-ordered treatment. This breadth of experience has deepened my ability to meet clients wherever they are in their journey. My clinical approach is strength-based and eclectic, drawing from Integrative Family Systems, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. I have a particular interest in working with individuals struggling with ADHD, substance use, self-perception, body image issues and desires to increase self-efficacy. My style is direct, humorous, and grounded in empathy. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to reconnect with their own inner wisdom.
During our first session, my clients can expect to have a conversation where we begin with a brief introduction to therapy and then explore what you hope to get from therapy. I often take a flexible open-ended conversations that allows you to express your thoughts and feelings naturally.
I specialize in working with young adults, range from 16-35 who are experience anger and anxiety related to current life stressors. I also work with clients battling substance use issues and take a harm reduction approach in supporting your work of learning new coping strategies while you reduce your substance use.
I enjoy working with adults (20-50) who appreciate a more down to earth approach to therapy. Often my clients enjoy the use of humor, practical steps they can take, as well as conversations that foster their ability to build self-awareness. My client's often have a history of past trauma, substance use, struggles with managing their emotions and a desire to understand themselves better.
I believe it is essential to recognize how a client's cultural identity and systemic factors shape their experiences and overall well-being. My role is to honor the client as the expert in their own life while approaching the therapeutic space with humility and inclusivity.
As a clinician who often works in substance use, it is important to meet a client where they are at in their change process, and help them foster meaningful change. This is often done by supporting the client in establishing internal motivation, which often results in more sustained change.
