Hi, my name is Bradley Levy LICSW and have 20 years of experience in the field. Are there changes that either you want to or need to act upon? If things feel too difficult to change and you need guidance, support, direction, and empathic listening you might be a great candidate for individual therapy from me. What separates me from other clinicians is my versatility. Throughout my career, I have worked at every level of care and every population. From individual therapy/group therapy to intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs to being the clinical director at a locked psychiatric hospital, I have seen pretty much everything. My main objective in all cases is to try and build a trusting rapport/relationship in which no judgment is made and an atmosphere where one can feel safe talking about difficult issues, their current level or desire to change through motivational interviewing and CBT. Over the years I have come to develop areas of extreme expertise such as addiction (either oneself or a loved one), co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis, dealing with any diagnosis from adjustment disorders to more complex or serious mental illness which includes major depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, and the conditions that fall within these categories. In addition, I can offer case management services, assist with paperwork, or find the right treatment if need a higher level of care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will explore the reasons that brought you to therapy and gather information pertinent to you current challenges, needs, and desires. In addition we will start building a positive rapport and trust as we get to understand one another.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As stated earlier most skilled population are those who struggle with both addiction as well as another mental illness which is called being"dually diagnosed". I have worked 5 years at a methadone clinic, 4 years as the sole addiction therapist at a community health center, and ran a partial hospitalization program for those who are struggling with dual diagnosis. - I prefer to seeing people aged 15 through old age.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

As my career started with treating addiction issues I have found that when it comes to making change, MET has been the best option. It is important to allow the individual struggling with addiction to be able to come up with the answers themselves through open ended questions, motivation rulers, and empathic mirroring.
