Hi there, my name is Holly. Have you ever felt like you are stuck in a rut and don't know how to move forward? Have you ever felt like you need someone to talk to, but don't want to share with your friends and family? My personal belief is that all people can benefit from therapy. Whether you are dealing with a stressful job, difficulties with family, or just navigating living life in the world. Everyone, including you, can find some benefit in therapy. I hope to help end the stigma that therapy is only for people who have a "problem" I aim to provide support for all people, no matter where you are in life. I value the trust and respect that can only be gained over time. If you feel that we may be a good fit, I would love to have the opportunity to get to know you more! Please reach out if you are interested in a sliding scale for cash payments.
I believe that finding a therapist whose style matches your needs and personality is important. In the first few sessions, my goal is that we build a trusting relationship in which you feel comfortable sharing your life. I like to establish goals or areas in your life that you would like to see change. As our sessions continue, we will review these and make modifications as needed.
I believe in taking a whole-person approach that focuses on the individual and their specific strengths, needs, and their surrounding environment. I utilize techniques from many theories including Strengths Based Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy.
One of my strengths is my experience. I have lived experience as an LGBTQ person with chronic health conditions. I also have experience working with community mental health work. This experience has shown me the importance of how a person's environment impacts their life. I am open to working with all people and offer a non-judgmental space for you to feel heard.
