I am a devoted Christian Therapist, and Pastor. I have 22 years of experience, working with individuals, who struggle with depression, anxiety, mental health disorders, spiritual and faith issues, grief and loss, trauma, anger, marital issues, and substance abuse/dependence issues. I have been trained in the evidence based practices of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), seeking safety, and Biblical counseling. I have a masters of divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a masters of counseling psychology and also a ThD in biblical counseling. I am a compassionate and caring therapist, and committed to providing professional and discerning counseling that is rooted in the truth of God’s Word. I look forward to walking with you through the process of growth, renewal, and redemption and through the restorative acts of Jesus. We will take time to get to the root of your concerns so that genuine healing can take place.
In the first session will work on identifying what your current struggles are, what goals do you want to set up for therapy, and working out a way to move forward in your life by utilizing positive coping skills that you can adapt to quickly in order to improve your life, and to take your life back.
My my biggest strengths are my faith and identity in God, my active prayer, life, my psychological and faith based interventions, and my ability to work with people on a deeper level to get to the root of there problems.
I utilize both a Christian Biblical perspective and cognitive behavioral therapy to have you look at your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, in order to reframe them into more of a compassionate, loving and encouraging way to speak to yourself, in order to transform you into that new person you were created to be.
20 years of working with couples from a Christian counseling, and a cognitive behavioral perspective.
To work on ways to increase your dependence on God through faith interventions for your feeling more content, more happy, and living in that abundant life rather than living in that suffering state.
