I can offer a safe, non-judgmental space to process the feelings & thoughts that arise in a therapeutic process. I enjoy using humor when it is appropriate & invite my clients to laugh and share as much as they need to. Life transitions can be challenging and it is important that my clients feel empowered to make the best decisions for themselves and feel good about those decisions.
Your session time is your space for you. You can use that time to explore feelings and thoughts that keep coming up; you can use your session to set goals and make a plan to achieve those goals. This is your place to feel comfortable and let down the walls that keep you from moving forward.
I am a big proponent of CBT & DBT as a method of making positive change. I also find it helpful to provide “homework” between sessions. My clients find that their progress is greater if they continue the thinking process between sessions.
I have experienced several transitions personally and enjoy helping others with those same challenges.
