My name is Lori and I love to listen and help people feel more hopeful about life. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood and empowered to change your life and be happy. Life is too short not find our way to happiness and if no one told you today- you deserve to be happy. Thoreau said “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation”- don’t be resigned to that.
I will have a bunch of questions for you- be ready to talk your head off, lol. In order to help you, I need to know and understand you. The first session will be all about you- who you are, where you are at, and how I can help.
My empathy is and will always be my greatest strength. However, I also excel at breaking big problems into manageable steps to help you achieve goals and achieve the change you need- one small step at a time.
CBT is all about connecting our thoughts to our behaviors and figuring out what’s dysfunctional and what’s working. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, give you daily homework to change what isn’t working for you and get you feeling better asap.
I have been in mental health for almost 20 years and will provide you with information on your diagnosis, symptom management, treatment modalities and anything else you want to know.
My main job as your therapist is to listen and understand and help you show yourself love and compassion.
