Hello, I am Dr. Mia, and I have had the honor of working with people to restore their relationships, whether it was personal, social, family or work-related. I have worked with hundreds of individuals who have had difficulties with life's stressors dealing with trauma, lifestyle (LGBTQIA+), depressed moods, anxiety, divorce, parenting & single, along with other areas of concern. I am a board-certified (NBCC) clinically licensed psychotherapist, mental health doctor and consultant (consulting/coaching differs from therapy in that it is present-focused, does not diagnose mental health illness, is problem-specific and solution-focused; whereas therapy explores the past, doesn't give advice and tends to be long-term.) I DO NOT offer crisis/emergency services (currently or recently experiencing suicidal/homicidal thoughts or plans or intent or substance abuse counseling) virtually or on this platform. I am available here on the weekdays and will respond to messages within 24-48 business hours. **Please note that I do not attend court proceedings, or provide service/emotional support animal letters. Should I need to inform someone you trust that you need immediate support, please note that the person you document as an emergency contact may be contacted. My hope is that we can collaborate so that I can tailor your sessions to meet your needs. I look forward to working with you (please feel free to inform me of how you would like to be addressed). ~Dr. Mia **Please note that the initial intake/appointment will be a minimum of 55 minutes.
During our initial meeting, you will have the chance to ask me any questions about the therapy process and how I use therapeutic skills. I will provide you with information on the therapy process and the subsequent steps involved. This will help you to determine if we are a good match.
If you are a woman struggling to manage the demands of work, staying at home, working from home, or parenting, I may be able to support you. I also offer support to those who feel like they are merely surviving. I specialize in the following areas, however, this list is not exhaustive so if you have a question, please reach out. • Anxiety (social, generalized) • Bipolar & Depressive & Other Mood Disturbances • Adjustment Issues • Trauma & Stress Related Concerns • Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity • Anger/ Control Concerns • Problems related to family/interpersonal relationships
