I believe that everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life’s challenges and create positive change in their lives. As a licensed LMFT therapist, I support clients towards their self-discovery process through the transformative power of psychotherapy to create meaningful changes in life, empower unique gifts and purpose, and enhance mental and emotional well-being. I believe that each of us possesses an internal source of insight and wisdom that can be cultivated through therapy. My approach is warm, relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed. I work from a place of compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Whether you are looking for guidance, improved relationships, insight, or to develop healthy coping strategies, you can make meaningful changes in your life one step at a time. So I encourage you to take time for yourself to nurture your mental and emotional well-being, activating your innate ability to cultivate a more fulfilling and balanced life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial sessions, we will focus on exploring the reasons for seeking therapy, identify presenting problems, explore what your objectives are, and establish your treatment goals. Throughout our evolving sessions, we will explore in collaboration the best strategies and coping tools to help you achieve your unique goals and make meaningful changes in your life. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can freely express your feelings and thoughts and feel empowered to be honest with yourself from a place of self-discovery. My goal is to help you address the root of the issue and gain insight which has the potential to support you in achieving a deeper level of healing. Together, we will explore your strengths and challenges, identify any limiting beliefs, and cultivate new perspectives. I will be here to support you in the process of self-discovery and alignment with your inner potential.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are listening, providing validation, understanding, and cultivating empowerment for individuals in a safe therapeutic space. My commitment is to support you alongside your journey of self-discovery towards healing and growth. In my free time I enjoy hiking, beach trips, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and pets. Note: I provide superbills for out-of-network clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients gain a better understanding of their inner world through their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I guide clients in identifying limiting and irrational beliefs and dismantle them transforming negative thoughts into more positive affirming thoughts and beliefs which can alter perspectives and reduce distress. I have used this treatment method in my practice for 8 years to treat clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction issues, PTSD, and mood disorders.

Attachment-based

I help clients explore attachment-based issues from childhood experiences and how those issues can be recreated in adulthood carried on by subconscious unmet needs, fears, and beliefs which can be impacting various interpersonal relationships. I have used this treatment method in my practice with clients struggling with childhood trauma, abandonment issues, co-dependency issues, interpersonal relationship issues, family conflicts, relational conflicts and have incorporated this model in use with couple's counseling.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use a trauma informed lense to guide clients in identifying trauma related thoughts and triggers and use CBT skills to address maladaptive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are related to past traumatic experiences. I have used this treatment method in my practice for 8 years to treat clients struggling with past history of trauma, PTSD, relational trauma, acute stress disorders, and childhood trauma.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use Mindfulness-based therapy to incorporate mindfulness practices helping clients master present moment awareness, engage in grounding exercises, mind and body awareness, meditation, gratitude practices, and breathing exercises which reduce stress and increase self-awareness and healthy coping skills. I have used this treatment method in my practice for 8 years to treat a variety of clinical concerns.

Positive Psychology

I use Positive Psychology focusing on interventions that increase optimism, develop personal strengths, foster positive emotions and attitudes towards oneself, life experiences, and events. Guiding clients to cultivate their own sense of happiness, well-being, and optimism, and gain insight on how these feelings transform daily experiences and increase emotional well-being and happiness. I have used this treatment method in my practice for 8 years to treat a variety of clinical concerns.
