Hi! I'm Janette, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I work with individuals managing symptoms of anxiety and depression. I use a mix of approaches, but encourage compassionate self-awareness and use the body as a guide in therapy. We can move beyond our sometimes (or always) busy mind, exploring the subtle changes in the body to access and better understand what is happening subconsciously. Gaining that awareness we can build skills and create insight about how to support ourselves and make choices that align with our needs and values.
In our first session we will cover expectations and policies, but then focus on you, what has been happening in your life, and how you are hoping therapy can help. We will work to develop a plan that makes sense for you and your specific needs.
It is important to me to be fully present during sessions and organically create a connection that feels supportive and safe so you are able to comfortably share and grow. It is my hope that you will feel seen, heard, and then challenged to make changes.
