I am a dedicated therapist and strong advocate for growth, healing, and wellness. I support my patients journey to wellness by looking deeply into the whole person and the impacts of social demands/expectations, stress, lived experience, circumstance, relationship, shame, and trauma on those I work with. I have immense passion for supporting people with self discovery, centering the selves and healing.
During my first session we will discuss your hopes goals for therapy. Once we have identified areas that you’d like to work on, we will supporting you to feel safe as you share about yourself and what has been happening in your life at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I am passionate about learning about those I work with, holding compassion, developing relationship and safety that allows for trust transparency, and ultimately healing. I am curious and lean into my patients as they share which helps deepen understanding and promotes healing. I am always excited to get to know new patients and feel deeply honored anytime someone allows me to hold space for their story, each unique, each important.
I have used Attachment base treatment with those I work with to help improve insight into relationship behaviors that come from experiences in early childhood with the primary caregivers. Developing an understanding for deeply rooted motivational factors helps my patients grow as they learn how these early experiences impact their ability to securely attach and feel safe in various relationships in their lives.
I support the growth, recovery, and wellbeing of my patients by through paced and intentional exploration of trauma, while helping to identify reactions to that trauma that interfere and may even perpetuate struggles in current day to day life. Learning how each individuals unique trauma triggers result in various combinations of fight, flight, freeze, and submit responses promotes insight development and encourages healing by regaining control of the sensitive limbic system decreasing overall discomfort and distress caused by trauma. I take this further by exploring the impact of generational trauma on my patients with the goal of stopping the cycles handed down by previous generations.
I use psychoanalytic treatment to support the development of understanding the impact of historical narratives in the core beliefs my patients hold about the world around them. I support my patients to reflect upon their beliefs, behaviors, hopes, desires, and motivations to help them challenge themselves to look inward and promote personal growth and self actualization.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is fundamental in supporting my patients with reframing automatic core thoughts identified through the work done in treatment developing a deep understanding of their style of attachment, impact of trauma, and cumulative life experiences that impact thoughts which result in emotions and ultimately behaviors. Classic CBT develops patient identified and driven with goals that are worked on in between sessions by the patient to support with growth, coping strategies, and change behavior for improved joy and life satisfaction.
I support couples with exploring goals, improving communication, developing or increasing intimacy, setting healthy boundaries, navigating life transitions, as well as any number of struggles that my patients may face in their relationships with their significant others.
