Hello! My name is Alexis, and I am a licensed clinician in Florida with over 5 years of experience. Healing begins in a space where you are fully seen, heard, and known, without judgment or shame. My goal is to meet you where you are at and get you to where you want to be. I offer various evidence-based techniques to cater to your preferences and needs. Counseling should be a safe space where you don’t have to perform, hide, or stay stuck in your current circumstances. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum, United, UMR, UHC, Carelon, and out of network. Schedule a free consultation for weekly sessions or therapy intensives, where I offer 1, 2, or 3-day structured sessions, for those who do not want to wait 3-6 months to see change. This allows us to uncover root issues of your relationship, marriage, or yourself in an expedited timeframe.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect to be welcomed into a safe, non-judgmental space where we’ll take time to understand your unique challenges and goals. We’ll discuss your history, the concerns you're currently facing, and how you’d like to see things improve. Together, we’ll create a roadmap for your therapy, focusing on practical steps you can take to work through difficulties and begin healing. I’ll provide clarity on how we can integrate different techniques into our work to build healthier thoughts and behaviors. The goal is to leave feeling understood and with a clear sense of direction on your healing plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to truly see you, not just your struggles or diagnosis, but your resilience, your story, and the person you are beyond any past wounds or past mistakes. I try to create a space where you don’t have to perform, prove yourself, or fear judgment and to meet you exactly where you are with compassion and practical tools for healing. I also bring a unique balance of insight and strategy. I will help you not only understand their patterns but take real steps toward change. With a blend of evidence-based techniques, creative approaches like music therapy, and deep empathy, I walk alongside you as we break through barriers and build the life you deserve.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

You pour into everyone else—who’s pouring into you? You’re the one others turn to for support, but inside, you feel drained, stuck, or uncertain. Maybe you struggle with self-doubt, relationship challenges, health issues, OCD, body image, or grief. Maybe you want to set boundaries, build confidence, and find your purpose in life, but you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I specialize in helping you discover the best version of yourself through understanding your attachment style, how trauma has shaped you, how your wounded inner child needs to be uncovered, and healing from any pain you are holding on to.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

You weren’t created to carry your burdens alone. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Christian counseling isn’t just about coping, it’s about healing at the deepest level, where your faith and struggles meet. Whether you’re battling anxiety that keeps you up at night, depression that weighs you down, or the scars of past trauma, healing is possible. Maybe religious or generational trauma have left you hypervigilant, or religious OCD makes you question if you're “good enough” for God. Perhaps growing up with a narcissistic caregiver taught you love was conditional. But God’s love isn’t. In our sessions, we can use both biblical truth and evidence-based therapy to challenge the lies, silence shame, and rebuild your identity in Christ. You don’t have to stay stuck. Let’s take that first step together.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy allows me to draw from a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and approaches to best support my clients' individual journeys towards healing and growth. I blend elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), among others, depending on what suits your needs best. This approach enables me to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses specific concerns such as chronic pain, health issues, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and attachment styles, while integrating scripture and faith-based principles where applicable. By combining these approaches, I aim to provide a comprehensive and holistic therapeutic experience that fosters deep healing and lasting transformation.

Attachment-based

Healing starts with connection. Many of our struggles, whether it’s shame, guilt, anxiety, avoidant behaviors, or the wounds left by a narcissistic caregiver, are rooted in early attachment patterns. In my practice, I will help you recognize how these patterns shape your relationships, self-worth, and emotional responses. By creating a secure, judgment-free therapeutic space, I will guide you in understanding and healing attachment wounds, developing healthier relationship dynamics, and learning to trust yourself and others again.

Mind-body approach

Anxiety, trauma, and depression don’t just live in your thoughts; they show up in your body. Tightness in your chest, racing heart, exhaustion that won’t go away. Healing isn’t just about changing your thoughts, it’s about restoring balance to your entire being. In our sessions, we’ll integrate therapy and mind-body techniques like breathwork, music, movement, and grounding exercises to release stored trauma and reconnect with yourself.

Play Therapy

I incorporate play therapy and music into my work with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults who benefit from creative expression in therapy. Play therapy allows clients to explore emotions, process trauma, improve focus, and build coping skills in a way that feels natural and engaging. Depending on you, this may involve art, storytelling, role-play, music, or interactive games. I also use music as a therapeutic tool, whether through lyric analysis, guided listening, songwriting, or playing instruments, to help you express emotions, reduce anxiety, and foster healing. By integrating these creative approaches, I create a safe and supportive space where you can process their experiences in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful.
