In our first session, I will ask questions to help me know you, to develop a therapeutic relationship with you and to help you feel safe and comfortable. I will ask if you have any questions for me. I will hope you are able to make a connection with me and I will ask if that has been achieved. Then, we will discuss those issues that have led you to therapy and how I can help with evidenced-based therapy models. I will fully explain those models of therapy, how I believe they can be helpful, and you choose one that resonates with you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) challenges our irrational, negative, thinking process that causes anxiety and depression. Essentially, when we change our thoughts, our moods and behaviors change too. A client recently said “CBT is my life.”
Mindfulness- based Therapy teaches and promotes living in the moment and appreciating those moments. It prevents regret about our past mistakes and fears…False Evidence Appearing Real… about the future, which is not always what we plan.
ACT stops your inner struggle with inner emotions and instead, allows you to accept these deeper feelings yet does not prevent you from moving forward in life.
SFT encourages focus on goals rather than the problem. We tend to look for problems in order to protect ourselves. SFT promotes solving those problems to enhance mood and feel a sense of accomplishment.
