Hello, my name is Eva. I am a Licence Clinical Social Worker. I am a bilingual therapist who speaks English and Spanish. I have more than 17 years in the field of community mental health. I have an extensive knowledge working with adults, older adults, children (birth to 18 year old), and families. My passion is to be able to provide support to individuals who may feel stuck in this life full of unexpected situations.
My goal of the first session is to get to know my clients. I will be asking several questions about their unique experiences, their background, and what brought them to therapy.
My biggest strength is that I enjoy working with different populations, and being able to meet individuals where they are. I have extensive experience working with trauma survivors. I have an extensive knowledge working with young children (0-5), with developmental trauma, as well as, adults, and older adults who experienced trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals who may be affected by medical conditions affecting their mental health.
I enjoy working with diverse populations. I am bilingual, English and Spanish.
I used this modality to help my clients identify unhealthy patterns of thinking, distortions in thinking that affect mood, and other areas that create stress or problems in individuals life, and help my clients identify healthier or helpful ways to respond to their negative thinking patterns.
I am trained in DBT, which I use to help individuals regulate their emotions, have improve interpersonal relationships, increase their distress tolerance, and be more mindful of thoughts, feelings, and their environment.
I will help individuals to be able to recognize how trauma is showing up in their day to day lives, and being able to incorporate new strategies for self-care, increasing the felt sense, and how to reintegrate trauma in a way that doesn’t feel so disruptive, and help create a more healthy narrative in a safe space.
I am certified in CPP, my main goal is to strengthened the parent-child relationship and help families heal and grow after stressful experiences.
