As a therapist, I am passionate about providing space for my clients to explore the full range of their experiences and to find more satisfaction, authenticity, and connection in their lives. I would be honored to accompany you (or your child) on the path toward that place. I tend to see the majority of behaviors and patterns that cause distress as creative ways we have learned to cope with life experiences, cultural and familial legacies, relationships, and social influences. My goal is to join with you and collaborate together to create a space of empathy, curiosity, and safety that is adaptive to your unique needs, helps you uncover the wisdom behind your distress, and encourages you in making the changes you seek.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, build a connection, and create a space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself. Together, we'll work towards understanding your goals and developing a plan for positive change, all in an atmosphere of warmth and support. If you are under 18 years old, you can expect that we will a large portion of the session getting to know one another 1-1 and that I will also invite your caregiver to participate at the beginning and/or end of our first session to share their hopes for our time together.
I take an integrative, relational, & client-centered approach that draws from DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, Play & Art-Based interventions and Solutions-Focused Therapies. No matter the modality, I hope to embrace the uniqueness of each individual and consider the systemic and cultural influences on diverse, lived experiences.

Sometimes folks come to therapy with a specific goal in mind -- I have training and experience providing both long term treatment as well as briefer treatment modalities. Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and amplifying strengths and resources to facilitate rapid problem resolution. This approach utilizes a forward-looking perspective & aims to help clients envision and work towards achievable solutions to the things keeping them stuck.
