In my therapy practice, I work with adults facing substance use disorders, trauma, and chronic illness, providing a supportive space for growth and change. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Whether addressing addiction, past trauma, or the emotional toll of chronic illness, my goal is to empower clients to develop healthier coping strategies, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Walking into therapy—whether it’s your first time or you’ve been here before—can feel like a big step. I want you to know that from the moment we start, this is your space. No judgment, no pressure—just a conversation where we focus on what you need. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you here and what you’re hoping to change. You don’t have to have all the answers—I’ll help you sort through what feels overwhelming. We’ll also talk about what’s been weighing on you and start identifying small, realistic steps toward feeling better. More than anything, I want you to leave that first session feeling lighter, heard, and like you’re not in this alone. This is where healing starts, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. You’re taking the first step, and that’s already progress. Let’s build from there.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Creating a Judgment-Free Space – My clients know they can show up as they are—messy, uncertain, or struggling—and be met with empathy and understanding. I don’t believe in forcing change; I believe in meeting people where they are and walking with them toward growth. Helping Clients Feel Seen & Heard – So many people go through life feeling unheard, dismissed, or misunderstood. I make it a priority to truly listen—not just to words, but to what’s beneath them. My ability to hold space for people allows them to explore their struggles without fear of shame or criticism. Blending Structure with Flexibility – I know that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. While I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, EMDR, and person-centered therapy, I tailor my work to fit the client in front of me. If something isn’t working, we adjust. Therapy should feel like a collaboration, not a rigid process.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you're feeling stuck—whether it's because of addiction, trauma, or the emotional weight of a chronic illness—you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with people who are ready to heal but may not know where to start. If you’ve been battling self-doubt, struggling with relapse triggers, or carrying the burden of past experiences, we can work together to change that. In our sessions, we’ll create a space where you can be honest, feel heard, and start making sense of what’s holding you back. Using approaches like CBT, EMDR, and Person-Centered Therapy, I’ll help you recognize unhealthy patterns, process painful memories, and build real, practical coping skills. My goal is for you to walk away from therapy feeling more in control of your life—not just managing, but actually moving forward. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m here to guide you through it. Let’s figure it out together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients recognize distorted thinking patterns that keep them stuck—thoughts like “I’ll never get better” or “Relapse is just part of who I am.” We challenge these beliefs by looking at the evidence, exploring alternative perspectives, and replacing them with thoughts that are more balanced and helpful.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I also integrate Person-Centered Therapy because I believe that real change happens when clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. Whether I’m working with individuals in substance use treatment, providing clinical supervision, or supporting clients managing chronic illness, I prioritize creating a space where they feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment.

EMDR

In my practice, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process past trauma, reduce distress, and develop healthier emotional responses. Whether I’m working with individuals in substance use treatment, those managing chronic illness, or clients facing significant life stressors, EMDR provides a structured yet deeply personal way to heal.
