Hi there! I'm Caitlin. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 6 years of experience working as a counselor and life coach. I earned a M.A. in Counseling from Midwestern State University and have worked with clients with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, as well as supporting individuals and families healing from trauma/abuse situations. My therapy style is conversational, supportive and inviting. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Instead, I believe it is vital to meet individuals exactly in the midst of their struggle to find a solution or better way of coping. I enter each counseling session with openness, using a number of theoretical and practical approaches. Our time together will provide you with an emotionally safe environment to give voice to your pain so that you can find the healing you are seeking. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you through the process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After each session, you will leave knowing that your struggles, feelings and thoughts are valid and that you are not alone. We will have talked through some action items that you can reflect upon and put into action between sessions so that your growth doesn't stop when our time together ends.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach includes solution-focused (good for very short-term counseling), family systems (good for understanding relationship dynamics), client-centered (good for reaching full potential) and cognitive-behavioral therapies (good for improving self-esteem). I will customize our time together and your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs/goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a therapist is my ability to help clients feel comfortable and open so that we can get to the root of the struggle and move towards a solution. I am great at listening with intent to understand the deeper meaning and help clients find success in moving towards their therapy goals.
