Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Texas and Washington state. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been practicing for 8 years. The modalities that I bring into session include interpersonal neurobiology, comprehensive resource method, mindfulness based modalities, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral techniques that are trauma informed, somatic experiencing and somatic informed therapeutic interventions. I'm trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, CRM, DBT, ACT and CBT.
We start with an intake, which is our first session as this is an opportunity to review relevant information you will have provided along with any clinical assessments that are required. This is also an opportunity for you to expand on what is bringing you into therapy, what outcomes you would like to see and finally, reviewing modalities that can help you work towards your goal.
My clients have shared that my strengths are in various areas. The capacity to be an active and empathic listener, my expertise and knowledge in effective reduction of symptoms, a strong collaborative approach with supportive feedback and appropriate use of interventions to meet goals. All of which have supported clients in their healing and growth.
I am trained in Basic EMDR and Attachment Focused EMDR through the Parnell Institute. EMDR is a transformative modality that helps you process traumatic memories and distressing experiences.
Rebuilding trusting and healthy relationships is at the core of my approach with any inner child or reparenting work.
ACT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that takes into account your values and what you hold dear, as the foundation for change in thought patterns and behaviors.
I am trained in Somatic Experiencing and we use the intelligence of the body and its innate capacity to move towards health.
DBT helps you manage emotions and maintain important relationships through its four pillars of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
