Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Mental Performance Counselor based in Texas. I received an M.S. in Sports and Performance Psychology from California Baptist University and an M.A. in Counseling, concentrating on Marriage and Family Therapy from Sam Houston State University. I have been practicing for five years. I aim to advocate for, serve, guide, and empower individuals, families, and couples to discover healthier ways of living. Together, we will work to understand and address any challenges you may be facing and help you to achieve your goals. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting your progress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive environment where we'll begin by discussing their reasons for seeking therapy and what they hope to achieve. I typically gather background information on their personal history, relationships, and current challenges to understand their unique circumstances. We'll explore any immediate concerns and set some initial goals together. I also introduce my therapeutic approach, whether it's CBT, ACT, or systemic work, and answer any questions they have about the process. Overall, the first session is about building rapport, setting a foundation for trust, and creating a plan for moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in building strong, trusting relationships with clients and creating a safe space for open dialogue and vulnerability. I also excel at tailoring interventions to fit each client’s unique needs through discernment—This skill helps me guide clients toward the most effective therapeutic approaches and interventions, ensuring that our work together is both personalized and impactful.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with more balanced and constructive thoughts to improve behavior and emotional regulation.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Encourage clients to embrace difficult emotions, stay present, and align their actions with core values, helping them move forward despite challenges.

Gottman method

Particularly for couples, focusing on building healthy communication, enhancing emotional connection, and managing conflict effectively by teaching skills such as active listening and emotional attunement, all within the context of strengthening relationships.
