Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I have been practicing for 10 years. I create space for you to explore and learn new ways to cope with feelings of stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I bring warmth, compassion, humor and empathy to the therapeutic relationship, and I honor and prioritize the development of trust as a necessary foundation for successful treatment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then start to look at the specific challenges you're facing. I like to look at the person as a whole and address any barriers that may be preventing you from reaching your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in this field for 10 years I have experience working will young adults, military families and veterans. Through my experience I learned many ways to help individuals manage stressful life transitions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Stressors and changes can feel overwhelming at times. However, you can learn to surf life's waves. I can teach you how to harness your strengths, and reconnect to a sense of purpose, belonging, and confidence. This may include addressing problematic feelings, thoughts, or behaviors that leave you feeling stuck or dissatisfied. Or it may involve learning to cope with the unpredictable and often overwhelming challenges that life presents.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT to help clients accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. DBT focuses on skills training and includes mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I use CBT-I to help clients restructure their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are contributing to their insomnia. Most individuals who try CBT-I experience improvements to their insomnia and better quality sleep. CBT-I is considered effective for both short-term insomnia and chronic insomnia.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices This helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.

Trauma Informed Care

I aim to create welcoming and engaging environments and services for individuals, based on the understanding of trauma's impact.
