Hello, and thank you for taking the time to invest in your mental health. Are you having a hard time balancing family, work, and life? Are you struggling with avoidance and anxiety about the future? Are you just ready for a change and aren't sure how to make a plan of action? It's difficult to grow without support and even harder at times to find the tools to carve your own path. If you feel ready to explore how to reach your unique potential; let's figure out some goals, what's in the way, and how we can work through those challenges so you can reach your goals. My background in research, crisis care, inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, in-home therapy, group therapy and outpatient therapy has given me exposure to several forms of therapy. I am currently practicing CBT, DBT, ACT and some elements of other forms of therapy. If you are curious how we could approach your challenges and goals, please reach out and we can discuss options. Consultations are welcomed.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will discuss how you feel about being in therapy, your treatment goals, and discuss potential treatment modalities. In the first hour of therapy, there is a strong emphasis on getting to know each other so that we can establish a therapeutic alliance.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am currently specializing in working with clients with anxiety, trauma, and mood related disorders. I use several approaches to treatment for these issues and enjoy helping clients achieve their goals in these areas.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a great modality when helping individuals with emotional regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and crisis survival skills. I have used these skills in both group and individual formats to help clients achieve their goals ranging from reducing conflicts to learning how to manage emotional overwhelm.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great tool when our thoughts and emotions impact our behaviors in ways that reduce our overall happiness and increase avoidance. I use this modality to help clients gain self-awareness of how their thoughts and emotions are impacting their lives and help them develop new ways of thinking and engaging that reduce emotional challenges.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a great modality for those struggling with anxiety, panic, and avoidance. I use this modality to help clients become more grounded and aware of how their relationship with their mind can be more engaging and in control. This modality is a great way to help clients feel like they are 'in the driver's seat' again.
