I am an African American Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of experience in the field of mental health. As someone who balances the roles of career woman, wife, and mother, I share the lived experiences of many of my clients. With a strong spiritual foundation, I believe in my calling to uplift and support individuals through seasons of transition. My practice focuses on helping those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship issues, as well as those struggling to balance multiple responsibilities. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care to help my clients achieve their mental health and personal goals. I strive to destigmatize thoughts related to mental health and counseling. Seeking help does not mean you are "crazy." It simply means you are open to learning new tools and strategies to navigate through life.
In their first session I will be gathering information to learn about the client and their history. Clients will have the ability to share what they are currently feeling and why they chose to seek mental health services.
I pride myself in creating safe spaces for clients to express themselves freely. I am able to empathize and place no judgement on what clients are experiencing.
I love utilizing the cognitive triangle to educate clients on how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are related to one another.
I believe in leaning into your strengths to impact your presenting concerns.
I believe in being solution focused and assisting you with brainstorming ideas to solve your unique issues.
