In August 2010, I graduated from Liberty University with two Master’s degrees: one in Marriage and Family Therapy, and the other in Human Services with a Specialization in Family Therapy. I was a recipient of the Innovative Thinker Award issued by the Prince William County Molinari Juvenile Shelter. I have also previously worked as a Social Worker for Prince William County, where he evaluated the needs of families, provided them with resources, expedited adolescent recovery, and provided crisis intervention.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will feel supported and receive guidance when participating in counseling. Expectations will be clear and concise. Clients will be provided a safe space to share their thoughts and feelings during therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Professional Counselor, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy techniques. These services will include therapeutic evaluations, assessments and short-term, on-going counseling sessions for individuals and families with a wide range of emotional, cognitive, and behavioral concerns. The therapeutic approach will be intensive, short-term, strength based, focusing on problem solving, promoting self-sufficiency, and offering practical parenting coaching, support, and education.

Family Therapy

I believe it is important to explore roles within the family unit and take into account a range of cultural influences psychological factors that have impacted family members. I also believe it is critical to assist family members identify how their thoughts, emotions , and behaviors are connected to become more mindful of how they interact with one another.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe it is important to assess the needs of each family members and examine issues that cause individuals distress and teach individuals how to problem solve as well as advocate for themselves. Collaboration during counseling sessions is critical in order to empower individuals to remain engage in treatment.
