My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

Faith-based therapy integrates spiritual beliefs and practices with traditional therapeutic approaches to address mental health challenges. It combines counseling techniques with an individual’s faith, drawing on spiritual resources like prayer, scripture, and religious community support. The goal of faith-based therapy is to promote healing and personal growth by aligning therapeutic practices with the client’s spiritual values, offering a holistic approach that nurtures both emotional and spiritual well-being. This type of therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals who find strength and meaning in their faith as part of their healing process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most common approaches, helping individuals identify negative thought patterns and develop coping strategies. Therapy can also include interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or other forms tailored to the individual’s needs. The goal is to provide support, and help you understand your emotions, and create pathways to recovery and improved mental health.

Couples Counseling

Couples therapy offers a safe and supportive environment for partners to explore their relationship challenges and improve communication. Through guided sessions, couples can gain insights, develop healthier patterns, and strengthen their emotional connection.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy is a form of counseling designed to help individuals cope with the emotional pain of loss, whether from the death of a loved one, divorce, or other significant life changes. It provides a supportive space for individuals to process their feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, and even guilt. Therapists use techniques such as talk therapy, mindfulness, and grief-specific interventions to help clients understand and navigate their grief journey. The goal is to help individuals move through the stages of grief, find meaning in their loss, and eventually reach a place of healing and acceptance.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma therapy is a specialized form of therapy designed to help individuals heal from the emotional and psychological effects of traumatic experiences, such as abuse, accidents, or loss. It focuses on processing trauma, stress and understanding its impact, and developing coping mechanisms to manage symptoms like anxiety, flashbacks, and emotional numbness. The focus is to help you through distressing memories and restore a sense of safety. The goal is to empower you to regain control of your life and emotions, leading to recovery and resilience.
