I practice from a holistic mind-body connection. We work on changing how you process past and future experiences on mental, emotional, physical and behavioral level. I believe each therapeutic relationship and experience is unique so I will tailor a program that meets your needs, symptoms and challenges. We will set goals together and reassess along your journey.
The first session will be a get to know you session. I will help create and warm and open space for you to share your story, your motive for wanting to start or learn about this process. We will discuss your goals and current stressors. We will review briefly any relevent background that wlll be explode further later. I will inform you about the modailities and methods that I use in our therapeutic work together and how I see that being useful in your personal goals. We will begin to create a therapeutic plan to include goals, schedule and assign homework and an agenda for the follow up session.
I have been providing evidence-based mind body therapeutic techniques to help cure patients of phobia, anxeity, trauma and negative thinking for over 20 years. I help people reset and recondition their brain and mind set/emotions on a deep level that involves creating new mental and physical habits. We work on shifting your nervous system and its responses to emotional and triggering stimuli. I have never had a client who was will to do the work not be able to active significant changes in their lives.
i am an expert in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with anxiety, depression and other behavioral and somatic problems. We will use techniques of reframing and rephrasing thoughts, and challenge negative beliefs and attitudes and develop more neutral, positive and coping styles of thinking and behaving.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitation Reprocessing) is an extremely effective and effecient method for overcoming patterns and symptoms of PTSD (trauma) and anxiety. We will be able to process negative events, feelings and emotions over zoom using a zoom based guided prompt, breathing and tapping. Emdr can be done in a 8-12 session stand alone treatment program or part of an ongoing treatment plan.
Incorporate mindfulness based treatments and exercises in the sessions and homework to change the brain chemisty and how your mind relates to emotional triggers.
