About me

Personal growth isn’t one-size-fits-all, so we’ll figure out what actually works for you. Drawing on similar client experience and research-based approaches, I help you move through life with both understanding and practical, actionable skills. You can be yourself here—yes, you can absolutely swear. I specialize in ADHD (ADHD-CSSP certified) and LGBTQ+ concerns, and I also work extensively with clients navigating depression, phone addiction, anger and coping skills, relationship issues, life or career transitions, and Autism Spectrum support, along with other areas listed in my profile.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your story and background are key to understanding the challenges you're facing. I take a flexible approach, combining different therapeutic methods to tailor our work to your unique needs. We’ll explore your experiences and create personalized strategies to help you reach your goals and make lasting, positive changes. I primarily use MI (Motivational Interviewing) to explore your goals and boost motivation, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and PCT (Person-Centered Therapy) to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel heard.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm a therapist who truly cares and meets you where you are. My strengths are creating a safe, supportive space, bringing genuine care to our work, and using practical, evidence-based tools to help you grow, heal, and feel more like yourself again.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients include individuals navigating depression, anxiety, life or career transitions, and relationship challenges. I specialize in ADHD (ADHD-CSSP certified) and have extensive experience supporting professionals across diverse fields, individuals on the autism spectrum, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I enjoy working with clients who want support around smart phone addiction, as well as those seeking to improve their overall well-being and daily functioning.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I strive to create a welcoming, positive space where clients can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment. I approach therapy with humor, curiosity, and genuine care, trusting that each person already has the inner resources to grow and change. My focus is on truly understanding each client’s experience from their own perspective, offering empathy and support as they explore their path forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify and challenge (research-backed) unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behavior patterns and how these influence emotions and actions. Then, we explore practical tools and coping strategies to create lasting change. It’s goal-oriented, and focused on real-world skills and insight.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their feelings about change in a safe, supportive way. Through open questions, reflection, and encouragement, I help clients find their own reasons and motivation for moving forward. It’s a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach that honors their autonomy and builds change from within.

Gottman method

These researchers have studied ways to help couples build stronger, more loving connections. I work with clients to explore reserach-backed ways to explore communicating more clearly, handling conflicts in healthier ways, and deepening intimacy. The goal is to reduce misunderstandings, argue more productively, and nurture lasting, fulfilling relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This approach helps clients stay present and approach their thoughts and feelings with kindness. Together, we work on reducing automatic reactions, cultivating self-compassion, and finding calmer, more effective ways to handle stress and life’s challenges.

I wasn't in a terrible place when I started with Evan, but I wasn't in a great one either. I was able to move to a better headspace through our sessions and I have some solutions that will work for me well moving forward with my mental health journey.
