Hello, I use somatic and attachment based therapy to support you to overcome struggles with anxiety. I also have extensive experience working with ADHD, grief, trauma, and life transitions. Overcoming barriers to calm and gaining a sense of empowerment is a creative process. We explore your specific history and goals to support you to move forward with greater ease. I create a warm, nonjudgemental space for you to identify your wants and needs as well as tools to regulate your nervous system.
In our first session, we will explore what is bringing you into therapy and what you'd like to get out of the process. We will identify what works and doesn't work for you as well as begin to build trust and a shared understanding of your goals.
I bring a compassionate and attentive listening your unique struggles and strengths. I support you to track your ability to overcome challenges and develop an encouraging nonjudgemental inner voice.
If you are struggling with anxiety and moving forward with challenges in life, related to ADHD, grief, loss, life changes, we'll use compassionate dialogue, somatic tools, and attachment pattern awareness to support you to make changes. If your struggles show up in your body, somatic tools can support you to reduce activation. This process builds self-trust.
I use polyvagal informed somatic therapy tools to support you to regulate your nervous system. We look at your patterns of distress, flight, fight, freeze, or appease, as well as what tools soothe your unique nervous system. We explore how this relates to attachment patterns in your life. With effective tools to re-regulate when flooded, you build confidence and have more choices in how you respond to life's challenges.
We'll explore your patterns of forming bond and connections. Barriers to intimacy and depth and relationship come from avoidance or anxiety. We will identify ways you can know your patterns more thoroughly as well as ways you can soothe yourself or identify wants and needs more clearly.
