Hello! I am a Board-certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and New York. I help those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Further, through my military service, I worked with service members experiencing PTSD and trauma. I also have experience abroad with expatriate communities, helping them overcome challenges related to moving and living abroad.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will discuss your reasons that brought you to therapy and we will collaboratively work on what treatment will best meet your needs. I will educate you thoroughly on all your options so that we can make the best informed decision regarding which treatment path you want to take. We will set realistic goals for making the positive change in your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a safe, warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel free to explore your true self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of the most popular therapeutic modalities and is instrumental in supporting my clients to change their inaccurate or distorted thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors. CBT has greatly helped my clients with depression and anxiety, leading them to a less stressful life. We will identify the negative thoughts, practice new skills, problem-solve, and set realistic goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT will help address disturbing or destructive thoughts and behaviors, while adding coping strategies, such as mindfulness and emotional regulation.

Psychodynamic

I have been practicing using Psychodynamic for the past 5 years. This treatment method assists my clients, for example, when they have social anxiety and struggles interacting with others. They may have a fixation or a blockage that needs to be worked through - both conscious and unconscious association - causing such social anxiety. During sessions, my clients are able to identify these feelings and patterns of behavior.
