Greetings, and welcome to our safe space. I am a licensed clinical social worker that specializes in treating trauma using EMDR and other modalities. My main goal in therapy is to help you find yourself by identifying and processing the root cause of all of your present-day challenges. I offer EMDR and Individual Psychotherapy Services via telehealth in California. Although we live in an individualistic society, each individual, with their unique personality and life purpose brings something extraordinary to the table of life. Each one of us is part of a bigger collective and we are responsible for constantly striving to mature and progress on an emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual level. As a result of these beliefs, I utilize a humanistic approach (striving to help people uncover, address, reprocess, and heal from their trauma to meet their highest protentional); while seeing healing through a holistic lens (working to help individuals heal by reconnecting mind, body and spirit). We curse, we cry, we laugh, we take off our masks and honor our genuine authentic selves to heal from our trauma. *IT IS IMPERATIVE BOTH CLIENT AND CLINICIAN AGREE THAT THE THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP IS A GOOD FIT, AND PARTICULAR CRITERIA FOR RECEIVING SPECIALITY TRAUMA SERVICES (EMDR) ARE MET, THUS ALTHOUGH YOU MAY SCHEDULE YOURSELF FOR AN APPOINTMENT, THE APPOINTMENT WILL ONLY BE CONFIRMED AFTER THE COMPLETION OF A FREE 15-MINUTE CONSULTATION. A CONSULTATION MUST TAKE PLACE OR THE APPOINTMENT CAN BE CANCELLED BY THE CLINICIAN.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Client should expect to likely begin mindfulness training to help client begin to reconnect with their thoughts, feelings and physical sensations and gain new insight into client's cognition, emotions, and behaviors. Clinician will typically begin exploring relevant client information and will facilitate identity exploration exercises to understand subconscious or outdated beliefs that may be present in client's psyche that are misguiding client's current decision making process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I like to think of myself as the Tim Grover (renowned businessman, motivational speaker, personal trainer, and additionally trainer for the world's most elite athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, and Michael Jordan) of therapy. I will meet you where you are, and together, we will relentlessly seek to find your highest potential. I believe the only identity that truly matters is the one that can create a consistent safe space within the mind. A few books I urge everyone to read throughout your journey with or without me: Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable by Tim Grover No Mud, No Lotus: The Art of Transforming Suffering by Thich Nhat Hanh Man's Search for Meaning by Vicktor E. Frankl Getting Past Your Past (Self Help Techniques from EMDR) by Francine Shapiro Scattered Mind The origins and healing of attention deficit disorder Gabor Mate, MD Overcoming Trauma and PTSD - A workbook integrating skills from ACT, DBT and CBT by Sheela Raja, PHD The Body Keeps the Score Brain, Mind, and Body in the healing of trauma by Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD

My treatment methods

EMDR

Most client's will utilize EMDR if they have attended talk therapy sessions in the past and have realized they are "stuck". They have become aware of their trauma and now need a modality that will help them most past their past rather learning how to cope with living in their past.
