I have been providing therapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and support groups for seven years. My approach is based on client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies that focus on self-acceptance and self-discovery by helping you build insight and access your strengths where you can feel empowered and understood. As your therapist, I intend to provide an open, safe, and collaborative space for healing. I am here to provide you with the support you need and create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Seeking help is an act of courage and self-care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I would present myself, and begin building rapport. I will ask questions about the specific issue you are coming for therapy. I use active listening that would help me with the treatment plan and I would provide information about how future sessions would go.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a good listener, genuine, compassionate and I provide a safe space for you.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have seven years of experience in client-centered with non-profit organizations. I use this treatment by assisting the client in finding congruence in their life with a genuine interest in their well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been practicing CBT for seven years assisting clients to modify dysfunctional thought patterns and the relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I provide structure and coping skills.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Assist clients with tools to manage distress tolerance and emotional regulation.

EMDR

I have been practicing EMDR for complex trauma for about two years. EMDR is a structured comprehensive approach that addresses the physiological storage of memory and how it informs experience. I use EMDR with other forms of therapy like; CBT, DBT, experiential, etc.
