Hi! I'm a clinical social worker (LCSW) based in New York. I specialize in treating trauma, grief, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). I have several years of experience using interventions that are evidence-based to help others unlock their full potential and live their most fulfilled lives. I am passionate about empowering people to use their strengths to experience positive change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will focus on building trust, discussing your story, and identifying a goal for treatment. Based on that goal, we will establish a plan for treatment that is tailored to your specific needs. Creating structure through goal setting, consistency, and out-of-session skill practice is important to the therapy process. However, I still aim to provide a relaxed approach that meets you where you are at the moment. It’s important that we go at your pace and that you feel safe, respected, and heard throughout the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is my goal to take a warm, nonjudgemental, accepting, evidenced backed approach when working with my clients. I pair this acceptance and validation with exploration of the benefits of change, challenging current behaviors and thought patterns, and introducing new skills to assist clients to move forward, get "unstuck", and live their most fulfilled lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we think often shapes our reality. Together we will get curious about your thoughts, thought patterns, beliefs, and values. We will bring awareness to how these thoughts create feelings, behaviors, and patterns that may be contributing to feeling "stuck."

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. DBT introduces new, skillful ways of interacting with your environment and the people in your environment.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Trauma can change the way you think about yourself and the world. You may believe that you are to blame, that others cannot be trusted, or the world is a dangerous place. Together we will identify the thoughts that keep you stuck in your PTSD. CPT teaches you a new way to handle these upsetting thoughts. In CPT, you will learn skills that can help you decide whether there are more helpful ways to think about your trauma. You will learn how to examine whether the facts support your thought or do not support your thought. And ultimately, you can decide whether or not it makes sense to take a new perspective.
