I believe recovery doesn't have to be grim. I bring playfulness and humor into the room where it fits, because healing often involves finding joy again. My approach is rooted in the belief that your brain is trying to protect you—even when it feels like it's working against you. I don't just treat symptoms; I help you rebuild trust in your system. Whether you are dealing with intrusive thoughts, people-pleasing, low self esteem, coping with difficult personalities, we move at a pace that respects your life's demands. • No "Resume" Talk: I skip the jargon. We focus on you and what you need to feel safe and get your agency back. • Playful & Practical: Recovery can be hard, but it doesn't have to be grim. I bring warmth, at times humor, and real-world tools to our sessions.

You’re functioning on the outside — working, caring for others, showing up — but inside, anxiety, OCD, or relational stress keeps running the show.

• Trauma-Informed: I understand that your symptoms are trying to protect you. We work with your brain, not against it.

First session

I know walking into therapy can be scary. Here is exactly what to expect: 1. Safety First: We create a judgment-free zone where you can finally exhale. 2. Your Story: You tell me what's weighing on you. I listen. 3. A Plan: You leave with a clear understanding of how we can work together to move from "survival" to "thriving." 4.. Zero Pressure: We move at your pace. This session sets the foundation for sustainable change, ensuring you feel safe enough to do the deep work ahead.

Strengths

My number one strength is sincerity—and I can’t fake it. My goal is to step into your world and truly get you. While I can’t guarantee everyone will resonate immediately, this genuine connection is the foundation of everything we do. It’s a bond you can feel, no matter where the journey leads. Here is how that translates to results for you: We work as a team: you bring the life experience and the answers; I bring the map and the tools to help you uncover them. We use your unique strengths to turn insight into action. Real Talk, No Shame We tackle dynamics like a "glitchy fire alarms" (OCD loops, anxiety spirals) with zero judgment. We identify how old habits reinforce fear, then build real self-trust by choosing aligned responses experientially not just mental rehearsal. It’s practical, trauma-informed, and effective. The 4-Session Traction Check I respect your time too much to waste it. If we decide to start, we commit to four focused sessions. If we’re a fit and you feel traction? We keep going. If after four sessions we dont get traction you can see and feel...We honestly reassess. I’ll help you find a better provider. No sunk costs, no wasted months—just real results or a real pivot. If you’re looking for a therapist who cares deeply, is motivated to help you feel gotten and support... someone who is not interested in wasting your time: You’ve found the right place.

Ideal clients

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, especially in relation to anxiety and OCD. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behavioral responses that keep distress going, and work on developing more flexible, realistic ways of responding. CBT in my practice is practical and collaborative, with a focus on skills clients can apply in daily life rather than simply “thinking positively.”

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy helps clients understand how past experiences, attachment patterns, and unconscious beliefs influence current emotions and relationships. In my work, this approach supports deeper insight into recurring patterns while staying grounded in present-day concerns. I use psychodynamic concepts alongside structured approaches to help clients create meaningful, lasting change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness techniques are incorporated to help clients increase awareness of internal experiences without becoming overwhelmed or reactive. These skills support emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and the ability to respond more intentionally to stress. Mindfulness in my practice is practical and accessible, not rigid or prescriptive.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

My Approach: The "Trust Practice" (ERP) We collaborate and tailor every step to your unique motivations. I guide clients through ERP using a collaborative, curiosity-based approach. We treat OCD like a glitchy Fire Alarm that screams "Danger!" when there is none. Step 1: Noticing the Spark. We find a way tailored to you to create a hierarchy where you eventually and progressively move towards coexisting with the spark/trigger (e.g., a doorknob) without engaging in a compulsion. Step 2: Letting it Be. Instead of "fixing" the alarm with compulsions (like washing or checking), we practice sitting with the feeling via your personal drive style to empower transcending the fear while waiting for the alarm to quiet on its own without fixing it. The Outcome: Your brain learns how to id and manage the OCD alarm that was wrong. The fear shrinks, and you rebuild trust in your ability to handle uncertainty.

I've had many sessions with Lee now, and she's genuinely helped me open up and make more progress on my mental health than I have in YEARS. I have struggled with so much shame, self-doubt, thoughts of being broken, to a point where it nearly crushed me. Working with Lee has given me the tools and helped me to take small steps everyday on my journey to loving myself again, and really finding myself, despite my upbringing and learned behaviors from childhood. Thank you, Lee!!!

I’ve been working with Lee for a bit now, and with each lesson I gain a deeper understanding of myself and my triggers, my reactions, and the ways I can approach things differently. She also offers me the room to express myself freely, and she makes it possible for my inner child to finally be seen and heard. I truly enjoy our conversations, and I find myself looking forward to each session, which hasn’t been the case with most other therapists I’ve worked with. Highly recommend Lee!
