First session
While the first session is typically getting to know the client, I try to build to an insight or coping skill that brings some hope and relief.
Strengths
My personal therapeutic style is supportive, personable, aimed to promote insight and motivation. My passion for therapy comes from a deep curiosity about the human condition and a desire to break through stigmas.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is curious and psychologically minded, and may be going through phase of life issues. One thing that is always be helpful is keeping a little notebook or journal somewhere, maybe on their phone, where they can add important issues or topics that occur to them between sessions to explore.
