Alidde Alouidor
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana, Illinois, and Florida, and I earned my Master of Social Work from Barry University. I work primarily with adults, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and crisis intervention. I'm especially passionate about helping women heal from trauma, depression, and anxiety. My approach is supportive and client-centered, so I shape our work around your needs, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll build resilience and a greater sense of emotional well-being. Whether you're moving through a major life transition or struggling with your mental health, you don't have to do it alone. I'm here to offer compassionate care and guidance as you move toward healing and growth.
With several years of experience, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Crisis intervention, working primarily with adults.
First session
In our first session, my main goal is for you to feel comfortable and welcome. We'll start getting to know each other, and I'll take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what you're facing right now, and any parts of your history you'd like to share. There's no pressure to tell me everything at once; we'll go at a pace that feels right for you. I'll also explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and ask about what you hope to get out of therapy. From there, we'll begin shaping a plan together that fits your needs and goals.
Strengths
What I value most in my work is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard and supported. I believe healing begins with trust, so I try to build relationships that are honest, respectful, and collaborative. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the approach I use most often. It helps clients notice the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and practice new ways of responding to the patterns that keep them stuck. I also draw on Motivational Interviewing and person-centered care, adjusting my approach to fit each person's needs and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all method.
Ideal clients
I work best with adult women facing trauma, depression, and anxiety. The women I see are often ready to make changes in their lives and are looking for a compassionate, supportive space to process what they've been through. You might be navigating a major life transition, struggling with self-esteem, or feeling weighed down by stress from the past or present. Maybe you've been holding things together for a long time and are finally ready to focus on yourself. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I rely mainly on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with Motivational Interviewing and person-centered care, and I shape our work around what you need. Together, we can work toward healing old wounds, developing healthier ways of coping, and building a stronger sense of confidence and emotional resilience.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and achieve lasting change. My approach combines structure with client-centered care.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to empower clients, helping them explore and resolve ambivalence. This client-centered approach supports change by enhancing motivation and aligning with their personal goals.
Supportive
Supportive therapy is a big part of how I work. At its heart, it's about giving you a steady, caring space to talk openly about what you're going through, without fear of judgment. Sometimes the most healing thing is simply being heard and understood. Supportive therapy often works hand in hand with the other approaches I use. For example, it creates the trust and safety that make Cognitive Behavioral Therapy more effective, so that when we work on changing unhelpful patterns, you feel supported every step of the way.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-centered therapy is built on a simple belief: you are the expert on your own life. Rather than telling you what to do, I'll walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, trusting that you have the inner wisdom and strength to find your way forward.
